Welcome letter

Dear Friends,

You are all warmly welcome to attend the 32^nd Winter Meeting of Pharmacology and Molecular Mechanisms Group PAMM that will be held in the Tricity (Gdańsk-Sopot-Gdynia) in Poland between 2 and 5 February 2011. As you may know, in the long history of PAMM, none of the annual meetings has ever been held in Central and Eastern Europe. For this reason, our next year initiative is expected to gather not only the PAMM members and our scientific collaborators but also to mobilize Eastern European communities working in the area of design and synthesis as well as preclinical and clinical pharmacology of anticancer drugs. The scientific programme will follow the long tradition of the PAMM Group meetings, encouraging presentations of young investigators, both during proffered paper sessions and poster presentations, in addition to many prestigious scientists who are invited to present their important and interesting results. We included both fundamental and clinical work to be presented during the meeting, with several sessions on subjects which have never been covered during previous PAMM meetings.

The venue of the conference is the newly built Sheraton Conference Centre, with state of the art facilities that provides the best venues in the Tricity for meetings of this type. The Sopot is a picturesque spa city, which is a summer capital of Poland and enjoyable place during winter time with vibrant carnival atmosphere. Within walking distance from the Conference Centre in Sopot, you will find many accommodation possibilities, from low-budget small hotels to five star hotels, including historical place the Grand Hotel, which hosted many political and artistic figures from around the world. In addition to scientific programme, we also planned the social activities from the traditional football match between PAMM members to two dinners in different places in the Tricity.
